Protection and Control Upgrade for Hydroelectric-Generating Station

Scope of Work

Strum Engineering completed the design and implementation of the following aspects of this project:

Detailed design of protection and control systems associated with the Rocky Pond hydroelectric generating station.
Design of building modifications and balance of plant systems, including HVAC systems
Preparation of technical specifications for purchase of plant equipment, including medium voltage switchgear, protection and control equipment, custom designed protection and control panels.
Protection coordination study and preparation of protective relay settings.
Development of control system PLC programming.
On site construction observation and contract management
Testing and commissioning services for protection, control and SCADA systems associated with the generating station.
